Corporate Star Award

Directors Investment Group Receives the Abilene Chamber of Commerce Corporate Star Award

ABILENE, TX — Directors Investment Group (DIG) was recently recognized with the “Corporate Star Award” from the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. The award honors a local business that “goes above and beyond for the Abilene community.”

In appreciation for this honor, Kris Seale, President and Chief Executive Officer of DIG, said, “I want to thank the Abilene Chamber of Commerce for recognizing our company with the Corporate Star Award.”

The award ceremony took place at the Abilene Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Membership Meeting. In presenting this award, the Chamber recognized DIG for “outstanding philanthropic efforts to support our community,” and for “putting Abilene on the map, having been recognized as one of the best workplaces in Texas by Fortune magazine on eight occasions.”

“Following my graduation from Baylor University in 1985, when I joined Funeral Directors Life [the flagship company of DIG], it was important to me to establish our corporate headquarters in Abilene because of the phenomenal people here and in the Big Country area,” Seale continued. “And now, 40 years later, as our company has grown beyond my father’s and his founding partners’ expectations, I am still proud to call Abilene home. Our company has experienced unprecedented growth, largely due to our tremendous family of employees who represent our companies in the best, most-respected manner, with values rooted in Christian principles.”
